📋 Staff applications
A structured application form + an internal staff vote on each candidate - more thorough than a plain ticket where everything is discussed in free-form chat.
Several "tracks" per server
You can open more than one at once - e.g. Moderator and Event Helper - each with its own questions, review channel, roles and settings. A candidate picks which one they're applying for.
/candidature postuler
- If several tracks are open, an option lets you pick one (autocomplete) - with a single one open, it's picked automatically.
- A window opens with the track's questions - up to 10. Discord caps one window at 5 fields, so past 5 questions the form splits into 2 windows linked by a "Continue" button instead of one.
- A copy of your answers is sent to you by DM right after submitting - independent from the review channel.
You can't apply if you already hold the track's staff role, if you already have a pending application for that same track, or during a cooldown period after a rejection on that track (configurable, 30 days by default) - but a rejection on one track never blocks applying to a different one.
Review, in the review channel
- Each application is posted with a 👍/👎 vote (purely indicative - never blocks a decision on its own) and two buttons, ✅ Accept / ❌ Reject.
- Voting and deciding are two separate permissions: the staff role can see and vote, while deciding can optionally be restricted to a stricter subset of roles (e.g. admins only) - a staff member without that role can still vote, just not decide.
- An automatic discussion thread opens under each application, for staff to talk it over before deciding.
- If it sits pending too long, the bot pings the staff role in the review channel as a reminder (delay configurable per track, repeats until it's decided).
Deciding
On Accept, any number of roles configured for that track are granted at once (e.g. both a general Staff role and a specific Moderator role), and the candidate is notified by DM. On Reject, they're also notified by DM.
